Bio
Dr. Mehrzad B. Baktash, 27 years old, is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher and Teaching Associate at the University of Trier in Germany. His research interests include Labor Economics, Personnel Economics, Happiness Economics, Family Economics, and Education Economics.
His teaching duties include teaching Empirical Labor Economics (M.Sc.), Applied Microeconometrics using Stata (M.Sc.), and Personnel Economics (B.Sc.).
His academic background includes several countries such as Germany, Poland, and Turkey. He holds his PhD with distinction (summa cum laude) from the University of Trier in Germany. He has a Double-Degree M.Sc. in European Economic Integration and Internation Economics from the University of Trier in Germany and the University of Warsaw in Poland, respectively. He got his B.Sc. degree in Economics from the Manisa Celal Bayar University in Turkey and the University of Life Sciences in Poznan, Poland.
During his studies, he was awarded scholarships from different organizations, such as Deutschlandstipendium (Germany Scholarship) and Stipendien Stiftung (Scholarship Foundation) during his studies in Germany, Erasmus+ Scholarship during his studies in Poland, and Turkey Scholarships during his studies in Turkey. During his doctoral studies, he was also selected as a GLO Virtual Young Scholar (VirtYS).
He can speak English, German, Turkish, Persian, Uzbek and Pashto languages. His hobbies are traveling, hiking, reading, photography, playing football, and drawing.
